Testimonials

Having a Purple Shield Plan in place when my husband died really made things easier at a very difficult time.

Purple Shield was a great plan to have when my husband passed away. Everyone should have such a plan. It made things much easier. Thank you

Our family was very happy with Purple Shield. It took away a lot of worry and stress at the time that we needed it. We decided we should get a plan for ourselves so the family won’t have to worry.

My husband and I decided to get a Canada Purple Shield pre plan because we wanted to make it as simple as we could for your boys. When my husband passed, we found that having done this was very helpful and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

My mom got sick shortly after she took out her Purple Shield plan. When she passed away the full amount of her plan was there to help pay for her funeral even though she’d only made a few monthly payments. Thanks

“I am a policy holder with Assurant and Canada Purple Shield. I have recently had assigned one Joy Bowman of Brandon Manitoba as my company contact and agent.

Joy has displayed a very helpful and friendly approach in advising contacts and clients when making estate and funeral arrangements. Joy displays extraordinary planning skills, is very well versed in legal and regulatory matters and has an extremely relaxed and friendly approach to her presentations. I have had the pleasure of attending an information seminar presented by Joy and was amazed at her ability to impart valid, useful, and friendly information. “

Joy I wish you good luck and much success in your field of work and look forward to attending future information seminars.

“I have told many people about the Final Document Service. We used it when my husband passed. The document serviced closed things that I would never have thought of and using them sped up the process of closing his estate.

I am very glad I had it and am thankful that I have it for my daughter who doesn’t live in town. I know it will be a great help to her.

I highly recommend this document service. “

“It makes it so much easier when you have a preplanned funeral. When I experience grief and loss having major decisions made ahead meant that I didn’t have to make tough decisions when my head just wasn’t in it.

When you are grieving your vulnerable, having a pre plan means that you can control the budget and gives the family peace of mind on what to do. “

Funeral preplanning is two steps.
Deciding what your wishes are for end of life care
Creating a Purple Shield Policy with funds to pay for your wishes.
A “cremation container” or “cremation casket” is required in Canada. This is not optional everyone MUST have one.
Cremation caskets range from simple wood boxes to full traditional caskets.
Crematoriums are expensive to operate so your funeral home/local crematorium will require you to purchase the cremation casket through the funeral home. They do this so they can be confident of the quality and safety of the materials being used.
There are two options currently available in most of Canada. Traditional earth burial or cremation
Urns must be large enough. Plan on 200 cubic inches or 14 cups of space. A good visual would be about the size of a 4L of soda.
