Video Tributes

People often enjoy seeing people’s video tributes. It is a good way to remind people of the good times you had, accomplishments you had, and people you love. You should not hesitate to put some fund aside so that this can be done. Funeral homes have staff that do this all the time and they do a great job.

Oh, but my daughter is a whiz at that stuff! Yes, and she would be honored to do that for you and might enjoy it; however, it could add a burden to a difficult time too. If you put money aside, she can choose to do it but she can choose to say no I just don’t’ have the reserves.

It is often very helpful in the grieving process for family to go through pictures and remember together and grieve together. Funeral homes have boards which you can put these pictures up. Now days we often have pictures from years ago in hard copy and last week on the phone. Your funeral home has the equipment to scan and upgrade color, crop, and edit. As you can tell I think that you get a good bang for your buck if you let the professionals handle this part of the funeral.

Things to remember when planning a video tribute. Try to ensure that the “important” people should be on their missing a sibling can had long term ramifications. Pick about three songs and between 100 and 150 pictures, longer and shorter are available but this is a good general guide line. Allow the funeral home time to do the video. You don’t want them to have to burn the midnight oil to get it done. They will tell you when they need getting it to them on time is the right thing to do.

I meet with people to explain options for them on what can be done with regards to funeral’s and provide them with an opportunity to ask questions.
